OhMiBod Vibrator
Talk about putting a song in your heart! This is the one of the few truly new ideas to hit the vibe market in years. OhMiBod is simple in form, but the novelty comes from the way it’s inspired to move. This little toy connects to your iPod or music player, so that the vibrations are produced according to the beat of the music.

Actually the OhMiBod works according to sound waves and especially to base, so you can also hook it up to a CD player, a radio or any other sound devise with a universal headphone connection. If granny wants a go, you’ll find that even a walk-man works. Anyone remember what those are? So when you run out of music on iTunes, you can dig out all those dusty cassettes from the 80’s, and then you can switch to Podcasts, movies or voice-overs, if you like the sound of someone specific’s voice. Just be warned that every time he or she stops for air, so do you!

The OhMiBod seems to respond to the volume of the music, so if you put it up really loud, you will get more of a full force, invariable vibe output. Keeping the music soft will give you quick, intermittent shudders which fall somewhere between irritating and ineffective. So you have to discover the right volume for the particular sound you are tuning into, but it needs to be in the medium volume range. A good tip is to use the volume dial to jack it up a bit when the song is moving along slower than your body calls for. Then again, when you begin controlling it with the sound dial, it is pretty much like any other variable speed vibrator, except for the accompanying music.

It is definitely fun to allow yourself to build up and slow down with the music, as if your orgasm is orchestrated like a Hollywood movie, but the switch off between songs can be a bit of a downer if it winds up at an inopportune moment. On the other hand, it can also be a nice way to slow things down if your orgasm is a sure thing and you can handle delayed gratification.

The OhMiBod comes with a closet of accessories including a garter to attach an iPod to your leg and a Pinkie sleeve to cover the shaft and provide a different look and feel. The garter is good for sexy photo-shoots but otherwise doesn’t seem all that functional because you may need access to your music player from time to time. You may as well just rest it wherever you are. There is enough cord to allow you to dance alongside, if the vibrations aren’t diffusing the impulse to dance. The Pinkie sleeve, on the other hand, is a lot more useful. More about the pinkie.

If the need to hook up to sound is tiring, you have an additional cap which you switch and can then turn the toy on an off independently, just like any other vibrator. There is a speed dial, where the speed gradations go from barely noticeable to moderately strong.

If you're wondering which might be the best piece of music for this toy, we have taken the trouble to discover the ultimate song to OhMiBod to. Here it is...
