Mazel Tov, Chelsea!

So Chelsea is getting hitched. OK, why is that of relevance to this blog, after all marriage and sex aren't necessarily related (unless you're a Republican)? I'll tell you why:

Chelsea is the sole inheritor of one of the best gene pools in America. There are few people born after 1980 who wouldn't agree that her dad is (or was at some point) the sexiest man in the 50 states. Now Hillary may not be everyone's cup of latte as material for a sex fantasy, but you can't argue that she has as much intelligence and drive as any. Guys don't always choose to live with such successful women till death do them part, but they are the stuff that hot fantasies are made of.

   Chelsea Clinton is getting married

And then there is Chelsea; the product of their love, or at least their mutual political aspirations. She'll be 30 this coming February. She is beautiful, smart and cruising the corporate world while completing another Ivy League degree. OK, it may be easier to get a job when your surname is Clinton, but it doesn't make it too tough to employ her with degrees from Stanford and Oxford, and with brains and charm enough to spread across the Atlantic.

Now the little girl who grew up in the White House is getting shackled to the son of a Congresswoman and a Congressman. Sounds like New England inbreeding, thick enough to create genetic havoc? Actually not. The incumbent boyfriend, Marc Mezvinsky, brings along Eastern European Jewish genes. Chelsea is old American Protestant. I'm not sure what will come out of this, but it will certainly be smart, good-looking and burdened with overachieving parents and grandparents. Such progeny could follow in the footsteps of said grandmothers and lead by breaking glass ceilings and guys' balls everywhere, or she/he could follow the grandfathers, spending their good education funds enjoying sex, drugs and rock 'n roll and landing up incarcerated.

Maybe too much of a good thing isn't so sexy, after all.
