The rawly charming Susan Boyle is an unlikely but a real-life Cinderella, who debuted this past weekend on Britain's Got Talent (Britain's version of American Idol). Turning from frumpy to fabulous in just a few perfect notes, Boyle had everyone, including Simon Cowell, in shock. Clearly, no-one expected such a show from such a country bumpkin. That teaches us a thing or two about preconceived opinions.
Ms. Boyle, though, was the one who cooked up the sensation by telling the world that she had gone almost half a century without having been kissed. I have a feeling that this is about to change. I only hope that she can hold onto her bushy, plain-girl style that challenges every misconception about what stars need to be.
And there's another great motivational message on the side. As long as you can swing those hips, its never too late.
