| Don't You Know that You're My Hero |
Because we are the ones who bare most of the brunt of contraception, unwanted pregnancy and abortion and because there are still not enough answers to detecting and treating breast cancer, and because of depression and sexual abuse and lowered sexual desire and because young women are still having their vulva mutilated and their breasts ironed and having to live with fistulas after traumatic births without medical assistance. And for hundreds of other reasons, we need women's health heroes today. We need plenty of them.

Our Bodies Ourselves, the revolutionary women's empowerment organization, has taken the initiative and set up a contest which will recognise and accredit people who are worthy of notice because of their great work in women's health.
Anyone can nominate their hero. Nominations will be accepted throughout the month of April, so get working on your video or written nomination and find more details at http://www.ourbodiesourselves.org:80/heroes.asp
